Next to the Platypus areas were echidna - the other monotreme.
We watched the feed
Echidnas did not hurt when they scraped past our legs.
Cave tours were reduced to ten visitors and a guide - fortunately, mum had booked months in advance.
The cave entrance was a short walk along a lovely creek from the main parking.
Tasmazia had a miniature village
but the main highlights were a number of complex mazes - here we are in the middle of one.
In the last maze, we met a pademelon - a small kangaroo. On the mainland, these have become extint due to foxes and feral cats, but they thrive in Tasmania - all 18 million of them.
Forestry is important for Tasmania.
Our motorhome was slightly smaller than the one we drove from Sydney to Hervey Bay in 2018, but still large enough for the five of us.
Our dining table doubled as a single bed for one of the children during the night - they all three preferred sleeping alone.
We stayed two nights at Craddle Mountain in the snow, but rarely needed the electric heater.
